 Rift - Acct Hacked

Anyone else have this happen to them? My account was hacked into and wiped of everything. This happened just a day or two prior to coin lock being implemented. This happened to my main characters on Stonecrest. My account info was my own, no one else had or ever did have access to it. Flipping gay!

Trion still has settled the issue either, so I'm naked and coinless.

Geordie and Iduna both got hacked as well.

We all suspect their gay porn addictions have led them to create accounts on some less than reputable sites, and they've been downloading media that may contain hidden keyloggers.

I'm sure they will welcome you as a fellow suspect.



But seriously, sorry to hear it, I've sent in a petition on their behalf letting Trion know that their poor customer service in this respect is not only creating a negative impression for those who have been affected by this security breach, but their friends as well.

Yep me and Geordie both. He got hit I think Monday, and me Tuesday. No resolution for either of us yet. I've talked to reps twice who claim they are working on it, yet I logged in last night to find that my ticket in game had been switched to "resolved". I called them right when they opened this morning and after over 30 minutes on hold I just hung up. I doubt I'll ever see the plat I lost, which was about 127.

5 full days have passed and zero resoultiuon with Trion. Very generic responses to the issue so far is all I've seen.

They've really got your issue messed up calling it resolved.

I was coinlocked immediately following one of their updates (Friday evening) and didn't get their email with the code to unlock the account for a full 6-hours afterwards. Just made the situation that much more enjoyable (trying to play on a different server with other/new toons.)

They must be completely inundated with hacked accounts for it to take this long.

Yeah I got mine back yesterday it took a week in total, I think it was just my turn but the tactic I used this time was:
Calling customer service, not letting the poor guy answering the call to talk, I told him how bad this customer service was and how everytime I call in it's the same crap of understanding my frustration but nothing they can, then immediately asking to talk to the supervisor.
After he transfered me to the supervisor, I again laid into him, he then put me on hold while he talked to a GM. When he got back from that he told me a GM would contact me in game in 10 mins. Sure enough he did and begun the rollback process. The GM was very helpful when he eventually got to my ticket, I have to say.

Hopefully you'll get sorted out soon.

Oh and I do not believe the gay porn sites thing, as both Sleepee and Shaftoe have not been hacked and they are of course gold club members of www.ilovebigcocks.com :)

Took 8 full days, but my account was restored. I was also able to negotiate the days lost plus an extra 30 days as an extension onto my billing period as compensation for the "issue" - otherwise I told them I'd cancel outright.

So, they may be slow but they do act in a consumer friendly fashion.
